The Jose & Hermenia Calvo Memorial Off-Road Park.

Since shortly after construction began on the facility the off road portion of the facility has been in use by the people of Guam and by our islands many visitors. Open three days a week, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays year round has allowed for organized riding and racing of motorcycles, all terrain vehicles, and off road trucks and jeeps allowing our island enthusiasts a legal place to enjoy and helping to get them off our islands streets where they could get into trouble. The park has been and is enjoyed by many and is deeply appreciated by all those and their families as a great asset to our islands future and to its families. With an infrastructure that includes running water and electricity for its restrooms those who ride and race are now being joined by the entire family giving mom, grandma and sister an equipped, stocked, and clean place to use if they have to has been very important to all of them and to the success of the facility. The park is truly a comfortable family park with barbequing along with organized riding and racing for all ages.  International recognition of the park along with many of our local racers has come from the hosting of several annual international racing events with the Guam UAM/FIM Super cross event having been televised to an estimated five hundred million Asian households alone. The annual Guam Smokin Wheels has been and continues to receive international race coverage giving millions of enthusiasts every year a window into our island along with having brought hundreds of participants from around the world to the event. With these events and events such as them enthusiasts from Japan, Korea, China and the list does continue along with their families and support teams have been and plan for not only those major annual island race events but several now travel to Guam just to ride or race in our local racing events. The park and Guam’s tropical climate along with its beauty has made it an enthusiasts dream destination to come and enjoy proving that sports tourism works and will have an even brighter future as the entire facility moves closer and closer to its completion.

Royal Pacific Motors YAMAHA, Sym Engine of Life, & Cycles Plus Kawasaki were the proud supporters and sponsors of the 2008 Summer Motocross Championship Series and want congradulate all those who participated.
